Mohamed Salah has been in the Ballon d’Or conversation for quite some time now, without ever winning the award. And now, it looks like he is eyeing a potential move away from Liverpool.

There is a feeling that the club have achieved everything that they could have under the management of Klopp and are now a team that is regressing. They were easily knocked out of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 by Real Madrid, while the Reds currently sit at 6th in the Premier League table.

Salah has been one of the best players on the planet for quite some time. His numbers in Liverpool colors have been astounding, especially when you consider that he is a right winger. Thus, he would be a solid addition for most teams around the world.

But at the same time, one has to remember that he will be turning 31 years of age in June. That means he would not hold long-term value for Real Madrid.

That is not the profile of players that Real Madrid have brought in in recent years, except on free transfers. And it would be safe to assume that Liverpool would look for a significant fee for Salah, with his current deal running out in the summer of 2025.
