This comes courtesy of Fabrizio Romano.
So, what is the developing situation involving Reading starlet Abbey and Forest? Let’s take a closer look…
Nelson Abbey will be part of future at Nottingham Forest

Well, it appears as though the links between Olympiacos and Forest are showing no signs of ceasing any time soon.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Abbey will swap Reading for Olympiacos in the coming days – but it would appear as though a move to Forest is on the cards at some point.
Romano claims that Abbey is going to be a big part of the long-term project with both clubs and it will be interesting to see how this one develops.

The Royals are having to sell some players in order to raise some funds amid uncertainties over the future of the football club.
Abbey is a product of the Reading youth academy and now looks set to embark on a new chapter in Greece with the Evangelos Marinakis-owned club.
Who is Nelson Abbey?

The 20-year-old is a central defender who has burst onto the scene with Reading over the last 18 months.
He has captained Reading on some occasions this season and in total, he’s made 31 appearances since making his debut.
Abbey has made three appearances for the England under-20 ranks and as a young central defender, he looks set for a bright future.
In the short term, it would appear as though the youngster will get some regular game time with Olympiacos.
Given these claims from Romano, however, it looks as though Abbey could be one to watch from a Forest perspective in the future.
