Critical Blow: Brown and others sidelined in 49ers vs Commanders matchup due to injury

Ahead of their high-stakes face-off against the Washington Commanders, the San Francisco 49ers received promising news as key players—left tackle Trent Williams, wideout Deebo Samuel, and defensive force Javon Hargrave—resumed full training, overcoming recent injury concerns. Their determination has granted them a green light for the pivotal Week 17 showdown.

With Williams primed for Sunday’s kickoff, the 49ers find themselves with increased flexibility in their offensive lineup, especially after a reshuffle during their recent Christmas night game. However, the status of left guard Aaron Banks remains uncertain due to a toe issue. Jon Feliciano stands ready to step into his role, backed by Spencer Burford at right guard, and Colton McKivitz poised to reclaim his spot at right tackle if needed.

Yet, setbacks haunt the 49ers as five players, including rookie safety Ji’Ayir Brown, have been ruled out.
