Robert Plant, the legendary lead singer of Led Zeppelin, was born in 1948 in West Bromwich, England. His father, Robert C. Plant, was a civil engineer and Royal Air Force veteran who supported Robert’s passion for music from a young age. Robert later had a son named Logan Romero Plant, born in 1979, who initially pursued a career in music as the frontman of the band Black Country Bandits before shifting gears to become a successful entrepreneur, founding the popular London-based craft brewery Beavertown Brewery. The Plant family reflects a blend of creativity, resilience, and reinvention across generations.
As frontman of Led Zeppelin, Plant became known for his powerful vocals, poetic lyrics, and magnetic stage presence. The band, formed in 1968, quickly rose to global fame with hits like “Stairway to Heaven,” “Whole Lotta Love,” and “Kashmir.” Plant’s ability to blend hard rock with blues and folk influences helped define the band’s sound and legacy. Even after Led Zeppelin disbanded in 1980 following the death of drummer John Bonham, Plant continued to evolve as a solo artist, exploring various musical genres and collaborating with artists across styles and generations.
In 1979, Robert Plant welcomed a son, Logan Romero Plant. Like his father, Logan initially ventured into the world of music. He became the lead singer of the band Black Country Bandits, carving out his own path in the industry. However, Logan later shifted his focus from music to entrepreneurship, applying the same creative spirit to a new venture. He founded Beavertown Brewery, a London-based craft beer company that has since become a major player in the UK’s booming craft beer scene. The brewery is known for its bold flavors and eye-catching artwork, embodying the innovative and independent spirit that runs in the Plant family.
Spanning three generations, the story of the Plant family is one of creativity, resilience, and reinvention. From a wartime veteran and supportive father, to a rock legend, to a pioneering entrepreneur, the Plants continue to leave their mark in distinct and meaningful ways, each generation building on the legacy of the last while forging new paths of their own.
