Netflix has announced the release of a new documentary that will chronicle the extraordinary life of one of the most iconic figures in modern history — Arnold Schwarzenegger. Titled simply Arnold, the documentary promises an unfiltered and deeply personal look into the life of the legendary bodybuilder, Hollywood megastar, and former Governor of California.
The multi-part documentary will explore the different chapters of Schwarzenegger’s remarkable journey — from his humble beginnings in post-war Austria, to becoming a seven-time Mr. Olympia champion, a global box-office powerhouse, and a prominent political figure in the United States. Through exclusive interviews, never-before-seen footage, and candid reflections from Schwarzenegger himself, viewers will witness the triumphs and trials that shaped his legacy.
Netflix described the series as “a raw, honest, and inspirational portrait of a man who broke every boundary to chase his dreams and redefine success on his own terms.”
In the documentary, Schwarzenegger opens up about his personal struggles, political career, Hollywood rise, and the controversies that followed him — including his well-publicized scandals and the pressures of balancing fame with family. The series aims to give audiences a deeper understanding of not just the icon, but the man behind the legend.
“I never dreamed of becoming a Hollywood star or a governor when I was a boy. I only dreamed of being the best bodybuilder in the world,” Schwarzenegger says in the trailer. “But life had bigger plans.”
The docuseries is set to debut globally on Netflix, bringing fans closer than ever before to one of the most driven and influential public figures of the last century.
Arnold will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix. An exact release date is expected to be announced soon.
