Fremantle Dockers Celebrate Their Oldest Fan with a Heartwarming Gift on Her 105th Birthday

In a touching display of appreciation and community spirit, the Fremantle Dockers AFL club made the 105th birthday of their oldest fan, Ruby Williams, a day to remember. Ruby, a passionate supporter of the Dockers since their inception in 1994, was presented with a special gift from the club to commemorate her milestone celebration.

The club, well-known for fostering a strong sense of loyalty and connection with its fanbase, went above and beyond for Ruby. Dockers captain, Alex Pearce, personally delivered the massive gift, a beautifully framed, signed team guernsey along with a letter of appreciation from the entire squad. In addition to the framed memorabilia, Ruby was invited to a VIP experience at one of Fremantle’s upcoming home games, where she’ll be honoured before the game in front of thousands of cheering fans.

The club’s CEO, Simon Garlick, expressed the importance of recognising Ruby’s unwavering support over the years. “Fans like Ruby are the heartbeat of this club. To see someone who has lived through over a century of life continue to show such enthusiasm and passion for Fremantle is truly inspiring. We are thrilled to be able to give back in some way and celebrate this incredible milestone with her.”

Ruby has been a die-hard Dockers supporter for nearly three decades, never missing a game on TV and frequently attending matches in her younger days. According to her family, her love for the game and her favourite team has been a source of joy and motivation throughout her later years.

As the club and community join together to celebrate Ruby’s 105th birthday, the Dockers hope that their gesture shows just how valued their supporters are, no matter their age. With Fremantle in the midst of a promising season, perhaps Ruby’s milestone year will inspire the team to even greater heights.

From all at the Fremantle Football Club and their passionate supporters, happy 105th birthday, Ruby! Here’s to many more years of cheering on the mighty Dockers.
