Early in the second quarter of Thursday Night Football between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks, Deebo Samuel showcased his playmaking ability with a 76-yard touchdown reception, tying the second-longest score of his career. Playing in hostile territory, the 49ers star wide receiver had no problem celebrating in front of the Seahawks’ home crowd, brushing off their reaction with a dismissive hand gesture.

the previous drive, San Francisco was held to a field goal after being stopped at the 7-yard line. But on the next possession, quarterback Brock Purdy executed a perfect play-action fake to Jordan Mason before finding Samuel streaking down the left sideline. Seahawks safety Julian Love attempted to break up the play but missed, allowing Samuel to sprint untouched to the end zone.

Samuel’s touchdown extended the 49ers’ lead to 10-0 and marked his third career touchdown of 75 yards or more—two of which have now come against Seattle. The play also earned Samuel a unique spot in NFL history, making him the first wide receiver to join the newly formed “20-20” club, recording 20 receiving touchdowns and 20 rushing touchdowns over his career.
