Reflecting on his performance at Il Lombardia, Sivakov expressed pride in his work for the team and for Pogačar, who claimed his third victory in the prestigious one-day Classic. “It was a tough race, but I’m happy with how things went. Helping Tadej win was a great way to end the European season,” Sivakov said. “The team worked perfectly, and Tadej showed once again why he’s one of the best in the world.”
Now, as the racing calendar moves to Asia, Sivakov is refocusing his efforts on the Tour of Guangxi. The Chinese race presents a different challenge, with stages that suit both sprinters and climbers. For Sivakov, it’s an opportunity to potentially take on a more prominent role and chase personal success after a year spent mostly supporting Pogačar in key races. “Guangxi is a race I’m really looking forward to,” Sivakov stated. “It’s the last event of the season, and I want to finish strong.”
Sivakov has had a solid season, balancing his duties as a super-domestique for Pogačar with his own ambitions. His ability to perform on a variety of terrain, from the high mountains to rolling classics, has made him an essential part of UAE Team Emirates’ success.
