In an interview following a recent event, Tomac was asked about his thoughts on Gjaser’s performance on the track, and he didn’t hold back. “Tim is one of a kind,” Tomac said, a tone of genuine admiration in his voice. “I admire him a lot. Sometimes, when you watch him ride, you think, ‘how does he do that?’ He has this ability to make the toughest situations look so smooth and effortless. It’s a skill that most riders just don’t have, and it’s what sets him apart from everyone else.”
Tomac emphasized that Gjaser’s talent wasn’t limited to his riding ability but also extended to his mentality. “He’s got this mentality that you don’t see often in the sport. He’s always calm, always focused. No matter what’s happening around him, he keeps his composure, and that’s something I think all riders can learn from.”
The two riders have often been in close competition, with both having their share of victories and memorable performances. However, despite the fierce nature of the sport, Tomac has always maintained a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect with his peers. “Motocross is tough. It’s mentally and physically demanding, and seeing how Tim handles it all, day in and day out, is really something to admire. He’s not just a fast guy on the bike; he’s a true competitor, and that’s what makes him stand out,” Tomac added.
In addition to his on-track success, Tomac highlighted that Gjaser’s humble nature is what makes him even more respected among his peers. “He’s got an amazing attitude. He’s always looking to improve, always open to learning. That’s rare in any sport, and that’s why he’s so successful.”
For Tomac, Gjaser’s attributes make him not only a formidable competitor but also someone who continues to elevate the sport of motocross. Tomac’s praise is a testament to Gjaser’s exceptional abilities and character, cementing his place as one of the top riders in the sport.
