In a powerful reunion that thrilled longtime fans, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin joined Chris and Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes on April 2, 2025, in London to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their legendary collaborative live set. The event, held at a packed and electrified Royal Albert Hall, marked a rare and nostalgic revisiting of their 2000 joint tour, which was immortalized in the acclaimed live album Live at the Greek.
Originally recorded during a brief but explosive run of shows in 1999 and 2000, the collaboration saw Page and The Black Crowes blend their styles in a tribute to Led Zeppelin’s classic catalog, as well as blues and rock staples. That original tour was widely praised for its raw energy and faithful renditions of Zeppelin classics like “In My Time of Dying,” “No Quarter,” and “Whole Lotta Love.”
This 2025 reunion came about as both The Black Crowes and Page reflected on the enduring influence of their joint project. “We knew we had captured lightning in a bottle back then,” said Chris Robinson on stage. “But to stand here 25 years later and feel that same electricity—it’s something else entirely.”
The evening’s setlist drew heavily from the original Live at the Greek album, but included fresh arrangements and a few surprises. Page, still wielding his Les Paul with signature swagger, locked in seamlessly with the Robinson brothers, who brought new fire and maturity to their performance.
In addition to celebrating the anniversary, the show hinted at future collaborations. When asked about the possibility of more dates or even new recordings, Page remained coy but optimistic: “We’ll see what the gods of rock have in store.”
Ross Halfin, renowned rock photographer and longtime friend of both Page and The Black Crowes, captured the night’s magic in a series of intimate and powerful images, one of which features the trio together backstage—grinning, guitars in hand, and clearly relishing the moment.
