David Gilmour, the legendary guitarist of Pink Floyd, has made it clear that he has no interest in working with former bandmate Roger Waters again. The relationship between the two has been fraught with tension since Waters left the band in 1985, and despite occasional reunions, including the iconic 2005 Live 8 concert, their personal and creative differences remain a significant barrier.
In a recent interview, Gilmour was asked if he would consider collaborating with Waters in the future. He responded with a definitive “no,” emphasizing that the chapter involving their partnership is firmly closed. Gilmour noted that while their time in Pink Floyd produced timeless music, the discord between them, which started during the creation of albums like *The Wall* and *The Final Cut*, has only deepened over the years.
Their differences have spilled into the public sphere in recent years, with both artists exchanging sharp comments. Waters has been critical of Gilmour’s control over the band’s legacy after his departure, while Gilmour has taken issue with Waters’ political statements, which he finds divisive.
