In a dominant performance by the San Francisco 49ers, quarterback Brock Purdy showcased both his talent and personality during the team’s 30–13 victory over the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium. As the game unfolded, Purdy took a lighthearted moment to connect with fans at home, walking up to a Fox Sports camera and delivering a simple but heartfelt message: “Hi Mom,” with a big smile on his face.
Purdy’s mother, Carrie Purdy, was watching from home, surrounded by family and friends, who later celebrated the moment by gathering for a photo in front of the TV, with Purdy’s clip playing in the background.
On the field, Purdy had a solid performance, throwing for 288 yards on 15-of-27 passing, with one touchdown and one interception. His efforts helped lift the 49ers to a .500 record, stabilizing their season after a few challenging weeks. With a passer rating of 104.9 through four games, Purdy continues to impress in his starting role.
Next, Purdy and the 49ers will look to build on their momentum when they host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
