BUCKS!!! : Ohio State rising freshman quarterback wins National Player of the Year….

Ohio State’s incoming freshman quarterback, Tavien St. Clair, has been honored with the 2025 Marcus Dupree National High School Player of the Year award by the National High School Football Hall of Fame. This prestigious accolade recognizes St. Clair’s outstanding performance during his senior year at Bellefontaine High School in Ohio, where he amassed 2,536 passing yards and accounted for 38 total touchdowns.

LaMont Robinson, chairman of the Hall of Fame’s Board of Governors, praised St. Clair’s exceptional talent and leadership, stating, “Tavien St. Clair has proven himself to be one of the most dynamic quarterbacks to ever grace the high school football stage.”

St. Clair is set to receive the award from Marcus Dupree himself during the Hall of Fame’s third annual induction ceremony on June 14 in Canton, Ohio. This event celebrates the achievements of high school football players, coaches, and other influential figures who have significantly impacted the sport.

As he transitions to Ohio State, St. Clair will join a competitive quarterback roster, including Julian Sayin and Lincoln Kienholz, all vying for the starting position in the upcoming season. Head coach Ryan Day emphasized the importance of leadership and preparation, stating, “When you guys come back in about two weeks, you gotta look different, you gotta walk different, you gotta act different because now you’re fighting to become the starting quarterback at Ohio State.”
