Chad Reed Sends Jett Lawrence a Special Message Ahead of Next Year’s Supercross
Australian motocross legend Chad Reed recently sent a heartfelt message to fellow countryman Jett Lawrence, following Lawrence’s and Team Australia’s historic win at the 2024 Motocross of Nations (MXoN). Reed, a former Supercross and Motocross champion, expressed his admiration for Jett Lawrence, recognizing the young racer’s impressive achievements and potential for even greater success in the future.
In his message, Reed shared how much he sees himself in Lawrence, both in riding style and tenacity. “Every time I watch him, I see a younger version of myself,” Reed said, praising Lawrence for his exceptional skills on the track. Reed’s endorsement carries significant weight, as he is widely regarded as one of Australia’s greatest motocross racers, with a storied career spanning nearly two decades.
Lawrence, along with his brother Hunter and fellow Australian racer Kyle Webster, secured the MXoN 2024 title for Australia, marking a monumental moment for the nation. The trio’s victory is a proud achievement, as it represents Australia’s first-ever win at the prestigious event. Reed took the opportunity to congratulate the team, commending them not only for their individual performances but also for their collective effort in bringing the trophy home.
“To see these young guys achieve something so special for Australia is incredible,” Reed added. “I know how hard they’ve worked to get here, and I couldn’t be more proud.”
In addition to celebrating the MXoN victory, Reed also extended his well-wishes to Lawrence for the upcoming 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship. With races kicking off in Anaheim on January 11th and continuing across the United States through May, Reed encouraged Lawrence to stay focused and make his mark on one of the most competitive stages in motocross. “Supercross is a beast of its own,” Reed said. “I know Jett has what it takes to compete at the highest level, and I wish him nothing but success in 2025.”
The 2025 Supercross season will span 17 rounds, with notable stops in Tampa, Daytona, Indianapolis, and Denver, culminating with the final race in Salt Lake City on May 10th. Fans are eager to see how Lawrence will perform, and with Reed’s vote of confidence, expectations are sky-high for the young Australian star.
Jett Lawrence, who has been making headlines with his dominant performances in both AMA Supercross and Motocross, continues to rise as one of the sport’s brightest talents. With Reed’s message of support and recognition, it’s clear that Lawrence is on a path that could see him join the ranks of Australia’s motocross greats, following in the footsteps of Reed himself.
For motocross fans, the MXoN victory and Reed’s words symbolize a passing of the torch to a new generation, with Jett Lawrence leading the charge into a promising future for the sport.
