Chase Sexton Sends Bold Message to Jett Lawrence, Stirring Motocross Fans

Chase Sexton, whose shot at the 2024 SuperMotocross (SMX) World Championship ended after a dramatic crash with Justin Barcia on Lap 1 of Moto 1, has spoken out with a bold message for his competitors.

Chase Sexton made an emphatic statement at the 2025 Anaheim 1 Supercross, clinching a dominant victory in the 450SX category. Now racing for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, Sexton showcased his refined skills and sent a clear message to his competitors, including reigning champion Jett Lawrence and other top contenders.

Sexton, who endured a mixed 2024 season, credited his success at A1 to his improved setup with KTM. The change in machinery appears to have reignited his confidence and consistency, both crucial for the grueling Supercross series.

“Switching to KTM has been a game-changer for me,” Sexton shared in a post-race interview. “The stability and performance of the bike give me the confidence to push harder and ride smarter. This win at A1 is just the start of what I believe will be a huge season for me.”

The victory at Anaheim 1 is particularly significant for Sexton, as the season opener often sets the tone for the championship. Facing fierce competition from Lawrence, who dominated the 2024 Supercross season, as well as veterans like Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb, Sexton’s performance underscores his readiness to compete for the 450SX title

Jett Lawrence, now in his third year in the 450SX class, acknowledged Sexton’s strong performance and the challenge he poses. “Chase was on another level tonight,” Lawrence admitted. “It’s going to be a long season, but that’s what makes it exciting. We’re all pushing each other to be better.”

Sexton’s move to KTM has not only revitalized his career but also added another layer of intrigue to what is shaping up to be one of the most competitive seasons in recent memory. His A1 victory firmly establishes him as a serious title contender and sets the stage for an exciting battle with Lawrence and the rest of the field.

As the series progresses, fans will be watching closely to see if Sexton can maintain his momentum and deliver on his potential. With his new KTM ride and a renewed sense of purpose, Chase Sexton has made it clear that he is aiming for the top in 2025.
