Unarguably one of the best pro wrestlers of all time, Punk, in 2014, left the WWE in dismay. Known to all, was that he left for medical reasons, however, Punk stated months earlier at an AEW press conference that, “I feel almost that the 10 years that I spent in WWE was wasted. Because, I feel it is Management, Owner, Booker, whoever’s job, it is to get the most out of all the talents. I feel that I never reached my full potential…”. After making his debut in 2006, Punk became a cult hero, and was loved by the fans. He wasn’t referred to as BEST IN THE WORLD for no reason. One could argue that, he was on the same level with the likes of John Cena, The Rock, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, etc. He held the Championship title he won when he defeated Alberto Del Rio, for over 430 days. If we choose to be true to ourselves and unsentimental, CM Punk failed to maximize his potentials in the WWE, this he publicly blamed on the Management(Whatever happened, they sure know how to keep the public in the dark). While he was away, Punk did some Hollywood films, and even tried his hand at real fighting games and debuted in UFC. Almost a decade from his retirement, and the self acclaimed BEST IN THE WORLD is back in business, and WWE fans around the world are buzzing on his return. 9 Years Out, you then wonder, is our Best In The World still in the same shape he was back then? Has his absence away from the ring had any impact on him? There’s only one way to find out. HOW WAS HIS RETURN MET? For the fans, they absolutely were buzzing and chanting his name, when he announced in the ring that he was EXCLUSIVELY signing up with the WWE again. For wrestling lovers around the globe, it sure feels good to have CM Punk back in the ring. Triple H also stated that, Punk’s return was unexpected, and that they were both changed persons from who they used to be. One may infer that, this is a sign of good things to come for our Man. One wouldn’t value the good, without the bad, nor the rise, without the fall. Seth Rollins sure wasted no time in showing how disgusted he felt about Punk’s return to WWE. He claimed Punk was never a member of the Family, after publicly condemning the company for its mismanagement. There’s no word to sum Punk’s controversial return to Monday Night Raw, as he also told Seth that, he(Punk) was back, and back for good. Let’s keep our fingers crossed, and watch Punk prove himself in the ring. The BEST IN THE WORLD is back!
