To say Jrue Holiday is the man of the moment for the Boston Celtics is an injustice to his postseason contributions.

He’s been at the center of everything good for the C’s postseason campaign, and his efforts have shone through every step of the way. He’s been playing phenomenal basketball lately that even former players can’t stop admiring his all-around play for Boston.

Holiday finished Game 3 with another solid all-around performance that highlighted his importance to the Celtics roster. There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that he’ll be indispensable for the C’s come Game 4 later on today.


However, one of the team’s stars revealed that Jrue was fighting with the team under a specific set of circumstances that makes his game all the more impressive.

Sports Illustrated’s Tim Capurso wrote about Tatum’s take on Holiday’s performance. He revealed that the one-time NBA champion wasn’t feeling his best when he put up a solid effort for the C’s in Game 3:


Jrue Holiday product put up a solid stat line for the Celtics in Game 3, with 14 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block to his name. It was an incredible effort that showcased just how important of a role the UCLA product has occupied in the Celtics’ roster throughout the season.


The Celtics will continue to rely on him as the playoffs approach the crescendo that is the NBA Finals. Fans will be hopeful that he continues being the X Factor for the Celtics for Game 4 and beyond.
