GIRO, TOUR AND VUELTA IN THE SAME YEAR? IT CAN BE DONE” – TADEJ POGACAR CONFESSES GRAND TOUR HAT-TRICK IS IN HIS THOUGHTS…. Read more.

Tadej Pogačar, the Slovenian cyclingsensation, has hinted at a bold and ambitious goal that would further solidify his legacy: winning the Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a España in the same year. In a recent interview, Pogačar admitted that the prospect of a Grand Tour hat-trick is very much on his mind, sparking excitement and speculation in the cycling world.

Pogačar has already established himself as one of the best riders of his generation, with two Tour de France victories under his belt and numerous other accolades. His remarkable versatility, combining climbing prowess with time-trialing skills, has made him a dominant force in the peloton. However, the challenge of winning all three Grand Tours in a single season—something only cycling legend Eddy Merckx and Bernard Hinault have come close to achieving—is a feat that has eluded most modern cyclists.

When asked about this potential goal, Pogačar didn’t shy away, stating, “It’s in my thoughts, and while it’s incredibly difficult, I believe it can be done with the right preparation and a bit of luck. You need to have the perfect form, stay injury-free, and have a strong team behind you. But the idea is exciting, and who knows what the future holds?”

Such a plan would be one of the most physically demanding in modern cycling, as each of the three Grand Tours presents unique challenges. The Giro’s grueling mountain stages, the Tour’s intense pace and prestige, and the Vuelta’s unpredictable terrain require an extraordinary level of endurance and consistency.

Pogačar’s admission has fueled speculation that he might soon attempt this historic challenge, and cycling fans worldwide are eager to see if he can become the first rider in decades to claim all three Grand Tour titles in the same year. If anyone is capable, it’s Pogačar, whose combination of talent, resilience, and ambition continues to redefine the sport.
