Guns N’ Roses drummer Frank Ferrer’s replacement revealed after band member of 19 years exits.
Born in Washington’s Tri-Cities, the 45-year-old Carpenter began his music career in 1995 by co-founding the group Loudermilk while still in high school. Over the years, he has built an impressive portfolio, collaborating with notable acts such as Adam Lambert, AWOLNATION, A Perfect Circle, and Duff McKagan’s Loaded. Carpenter is recognized for his dynamic drumming style, which uniquely blends versatility and groove with technical skill, making him a fitting addition to Guns N’ Roses.
Frank Ferrer, who first joined Guns N’ Roses in June 2006 as a temporary replacement before becoming the official drummer, played a pivotal role in the band’s rhythm section during his nearly two-decade-long association. His final performance with the band took place on November 5, 2023, in Mexico. In a statement regarding his departure, Ferrer expressed immense gratitude and love for Axl Rose and the band, acknowledging the life-changing memories and experiences he gained during his time with Guns N’ Roses. He also conveyed disappointment that this chapter had come to an end but thanked the management, crew, and fans for their support.
The band’s upcoming tour, titled “Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things,” is scheduled to commence on May 1, 2025, in South Korea and will include stops in the Middle East and Europe, concluding on July 31, 2025, in Germany. Fans are eagerly anticipating how Carpenter’s addition will influence the band’s live performances and overall dynamic.
