Julian Alaphilippe aiming to fight ‘until the end’ as Quick-Step career winds down ….Read more

Sports Article

Julian Alaphilippe, the charismatic French cyclist, has vowed to fight “until the end” as his time with Soudal Quick-Step winds down. After a long and illustrious career with the Belgian team, the two-time world champion is preparing to move on, but not before leaving everything on the road for his current squad. Alaphilippe, known for his aggressive racing style and resilience, has made it clear that despite the transition ahead, he remains fully committed to finishing his tenure with Quick-Step on a high note.

In recent interviews, Alaphilippe expressed both nostalgia and determination as he reflected on his years with the team. “This team has given me so much, and I want to give back as much as I can in these final races. I’ll fight until the end,” he said. His career with Quick-Step has been marked by numerous victories, including stages at the Tour de France and wins in prestigious one-day races such as La Flèche Wallonne and Milan-San Remo. Alaphilippe’s attacking style and flair have made him a fan favorite and a key figure in the peloton.

However, 2024 has been a challenging season for Alaphilippe, with injuries and inconsistent form affecting his performances. Despite these setbacks, the French rider remains upbeat. “It hasn’t been an easy year, but I still have a lot of motivation,” he explained. “I want to finish my time here in a way that honors everything the team has done for me.”

As Alaphilippe looks ahead to his next chapter, he acknowledges the emotional aspect of leaving a team that has shaped his career. “It’s going to be hard to say goodbye, but I’m excited for what’s next.” Regardless of where his next move takes him, Alaphilippe remains determined to leave a lasting impression with his final efforts for Quick-Step.
