Netflix to Release Documentary on Legendary Rock Band Europe

Netflix is set to premiere a new documentary chronicling the rise, success, and enduring legacy of the iconic Swedish rock band Europe, best known for their global hit “The Final Countdown.” The streaming giant announced that the documentary, slated for release later this year, will offer an intimate look into the band’s journey from their early days in the 1980s to their continued influence on the global rock scene.

Titled Europe: The Final Countdown Chronicles, the documentary features never-before-seen archival footage, exclusive interviews with band members including frontman Joey Tempest and guitarist John Norum, and commentary from music historians and fellow artists. It will delve into the band’s formation in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, their breakthrough in the international music scene, and the evolution of their sound across decades of shifting musical landscapes.

Europe achieved worldwide fame with their third studio album, The Final Countdown (1986), which catapulted them to the top of charts in over 25 countries.
