Netflix to Release Documentary on Legendary Southern Rock Group, The Allman Brothers Band

Netflix has officially announced the upcoming release of a documentary chronicling the legacy of one of America’s most influential rock bands, The Allman Brothers Band. The film is expected to offer an intimate and comprehensive look at the band’s history, musical innovation, and cultural impact.

Titled Midnight Riders: The Story of The Allman Brothers Band, the documentary will feature rare archival footage, previously unseen photographs, and exclusive interviews with surviving band members, family, close friends, and collaborators. Fans can also expect commentary from a range of music historians and industry insiders who will shed light on the band’s groundbreaking fusion of blues, jazz, and Southern rock.

Formed in 1969 by brothers Duane and Gregg Allman, the group quickly rose to prominence with their improvisational style and high-energy performances, becoming a seminal force in the development of Southern rock.
