OU softball loses three players to transfer portal

Oklahoma sophomore infielder Avery Hodge, redshirt sophomore utility player Quincee Lilio and redshirt freshman pitcher SJ Geurin entered the transfer portal on Monday.

Hodge became the Sooners’ primary second baseman in the Women’s College World Series after Alynah Torres left the game against UCLA on June 1 due to injury.

In 2024, Hodge batted .284 with zero home runs and nine runs batted in across 25 games started. Hodge recorded four hits across 10 at bats in the final four games of the season.

Lilio batted .129 with one home run and five runs batted in while starting in two games. Geurin pitched 10 innings in 2024 and allowed four hits, one run, three walks and nine strikeouts. Across nine relief appearances, Geurin had a 0.70 earned run average.

With 10 seniors departing, three players in the transfer portal and eight freshman signed in the 2024 class, the Sooners now have five roster spots open.
