Rob Gronkowski Praises and defends 49ers’ QB: ‘Brock Purdy is the Golden Pick!

The San Francisco 49ers are potentially the NFL’s top team, and it is debatable over who deserves the most credit for their success. Despite the result in their last game against the Ravens, the impact of the players this year, can not be diminished. They have been exceptionally good.

Following the Ravens game, criticism targeted Brock Purdy for his subpar performance. Yet, overlooked in the flurry of criticism is his status as arguably the team’s standout player. Despite recent struggles, Purdy’s unwavering dedication and consistent MVP-worthy contributions have defined his role within the team.

Upon stepping in for Jimmy Garoppolo last season, quarterback Brock Purdy joined forces with Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, and a formidable offensive line. Bolstered by the Niners’ exceptional defense, Purdy, the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, initially started as the team’s third-string QB. However, injuries to Trey Lance and Garoppolo propelled Purdy into the starting role, where he remains exceptional in regular-season games.

Even amidst criticism, people like Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey persist in lauding Brock Purdy. Samuel’s defense of the 49ers’ quarterback wasn’t a solitary act, as other people like Rob Gronkowski joined in. Following Micah Parsons’ critique of Purdy’s performance in the 33-19 loss against the Baltimore Ravens, Rob Gronkowski, a four-time Super Bowl champion, offered his response to the Dallas Cowboys’ star edge rusher on the “Up & Adams” YouTube show.

He stated that it is really weird for Micha Parsons to call out Brock Purdy in such a manner, regarding the fact that Purdy and the 49ers dismantled the cowboys when they played them this year. He also said that there’s a saying: “Losers focus on winners, and winners focus on winning.”
