Tottenham Hotspur ace Richarlison has been linked with the White Hart Lane exit this summer, and the owner of reputable Lilywhites podcast Lilywhite Rose, John Wenham, claims that Loïs Openda will be an ideal replacement for the Brazilian ace.
John Wenham has been particularly impressed by the 24-year-old’s performances for RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League this season. This likeliness of Openda comes on the back of reliable Tottenham correspondent Paul O’Keefe suggesting that the Belgian international is under consideration as the club searches for a new centre-forward this summer.
Can Loïs Openda solve Tottenham’s striking issues?
Tottenham are in dire need of a new number nine this summer. The club has yet to replace Harry Kane, who bid adieu to White Hart Lane last summer. Reports of a potential summer exit for Spurs striker Richarlison have opened the door for Tottenham to bring in new attacking reinforcements for White Hart Lane.
And Wenham, in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, has suggested that the RB Leipzig striker would be his ideal choice to solve striking vows this summer:
I watched Openda in the Champions League a couple of times this year, and I was impressed. He has a real mix of pace and excellent finishing ability.
Paul O’Keefe linked strikers Giminez, Toney, Guirassy, and Gyokeres with a possible summer move to Tottenham. Now, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and manager Ange Postecoglou must decide which striker they will bring to the N17 stadium.
