Stevie Nicks Announces First New Album in 14 Years
Legendary singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks has officially announced her return to the studio, revealing that she is working on her first solo album in over a decade. The exciting news came during her induction into the Pollstar Hall of Fame at the Pollstar Awards on April 16, 2025.
Nicks referred to the forthcoming project as “the ghost record,” a title reflecting its deeply personal and introspective nature. The 75-year-old artist confirmed that she has already written seven songs for the album, describing them as autobiographical and unfiltered. “I’m not pulling any punches for probably the first time in my life,” she said.
The songs will delve into vivid memories, personal relationships, and pivotal moments from her life. “These are real stories,” Nicks explained, “memories of mine, of fantastic men.” One of the tracks reportedly recounts an awkward and memorable encounter she had with the late music icon Prince after the premiere of Purple Rain.
Although no official release date has been set, anticipation is already high. Fans can expect a raw and revealing collection of songs that echo the ethereal yet emotionally grounded artistry that has defined Nicks’ decades-long career.
In the meantime, Stevie Nicks has also been branching out with collaborative projects. Most recently, she teamed up with NFL star Jason Kelce for a track on the Eagles’ holiday album, delivering a heartfelt duet titled Maybe This Christmas.
More details about the new album, including its title and release timeline, are expected in the coming months. For updates, fans can follow her official website at stevienicksofficial.com.
