There’s confusion as Tottenham loanee is unaware of the club’s intentions.

The Spurs striker has been on loan at Dutch side Excelsior this season and fired the club to a chance of survival in the Eredivisie.

Parrott scored scored a first half hat-trick as Excelsior demolished ADO Den Haag 7-1 in the relegation playoffs.
The Dutch side will look for him to now be on top form when they take on NAC Breda over two legs for the right to play in next season’s Eredivisie.

Beyond this season though, Parrott is in the dark over what Spurs have planned for him, but he does know he needs to continue his development and is prepared to go abroad again.
I still have a one-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur. I don’t know what Tottenham want, loan or sell. I hope for a great next challenge”, Parrott told Dutch magazine Voetbal International.

“I want to develop further. A step higher than Excelsior would suit, I think. Certainly not necessarily in England.
There was interest from Germany, also from the Netherlands I think.

“I leave it to my agent. Let me know. Only then will I see if it suits me and if it seems right to me.”

Parrott may be given an opportunity by Ange Postecoglou to shine in pre-season, but his chances of regular game time if he stays at Spurs look slim.
