As well as the temporary signing of Timo Werner in January, Spurs have also been very diligent when managing their loans.
Japhet Tanganga wasn’t making progress at Augsburg in the Bundesliga and made the switch to Millwall this month.
Moreover, Spurs also decided it was best to send both Alfie Devine and Ashley Phillips to the same club this month at Plymouth Argyle.
Daniel Levy and his team certainly couldn’t be accused of not making the most of the loan opportunities available, and it should pay dividends.
Both Sergio Reguilon and Joe Rodon are doing brilliantly at Brentford and Leeds United, respectively, driving up their price for any departure this summer.
And given there was a round of championship games last night, Rodon was back in action for Leeds.
The defender has been in immense form recently, and his latest display away to Swansea City was no exception.
Tottenham’s Joe Rodon continues to have a brilliant season out on loan at Leeds.
Rodon enjoyed another excellent 90-minute showing in Leeds’ 4-0 away win, strengthening the club’s automatic promotion chances.
The £15 million defender is surely now in Leeds’ permanent thoughts if they do go up this year, which should be great news for Tottenham.
That being said, journalist Graham Smyth was reviewing the game for the Yorkshire Evening Post and was incredibly impressed with Rodon’s composure.
Smyth gave Rodon an eight out of 10 and wrote, “A picture of calm. I tried to keep things calm and tidy in possession. I was always there when needed.”
And although Tottenham could have benefited from a player like Rodon on a few occasions this season, his loan has clearly worked superbly.
Spurs should be able to achieve good value for the center-back in the summer, strengthening their own plans in the market.
