Unbelievable Triumph as Hatfield Club Snooker Prodigy Clinches First-Ever Cuestars Trophy.

Fourteen-year-old Jamie Hogg trailed 1-0 against William Hurley in the final of the sixth leg of the Under-21 Silver Tour at Frames Sports Bar in Coulsdon. However, Jamie staged a comeback, winning 2-1 in a match that extended until almost 10pm. Hailing from Frank’s Pool Snooker Bar in Hatfield, Jamie reflected on the day, saying, “It’s been a long day, but you just have to persevere and give it your best shot. I feel pretty good – I believe I played well throughout the day.”

“No big breaks but it just shows you it’s not all about breaks at the end of the day, it’s about scrapping it out and winning the frames.”

Jamie benefits from the guidance of two coaches in his snooker journey. Don Watson specializes in refining Jamie’s techniques and tactics, ensuring a solid foundation for his gameplay. On the other hand, Andy Barrett contributes to Jamie’s mental game, providing support and strategies to enhance his psychological resilience on the snooker table.

Securing victory in the recent tour leg, Jamie Hogg navigated through the challenges of his round-robin group, securing a second-place finish. He then advanced through the knockout stage, triumphing in quarter-final, semi-final, and ultimately claiming victory in the final match. Looking ahead, the upcoming seventh leg of the Cuestars Under-21 Silver Tour is slated to take place at Woking Snooker Centre on Sunday, February 18, offering another opportunity for competitive snooker action.
