Nottingham Forest face another FA Cup replay as they draw 0-0 with Bristol City in their fourth-round tie at Ashton Gate.
The Reds found themselves on the back foot for much of the first half as the Robins started the brighter of the two sides. Chances, or indeed meaningful spells of possession, were in short supply for the visitors in a below-par opening 45 minutes.
Nuno Tavares sent a free-kick off target, while Ryan Yates shot straight at the keeper before the half-hour mark. Gonzalo Montiel might have done better when he worked his way into the box, but he took too many touches, and the opportunity was squandered.
Forest’s best opportunity fell to Danilo on the stroke of half-time. The Brazilian latched on to Callum Hudson-Odoi’s cut-back but fired narrowly wide.
At the other end of the pitch, Matt Turner didn’t have a save to make before the break, but City did look dangerous. Tommy Conway went close with one effort, and Jason Knight headed narrowly over from a corner.
The Reds started the second half with more intent. Chris Wood tried his luck with a header, while the away fans behind the goal thought Hudson-Odoi had scored when he hit the side-netting with less than 20 minutes to go.
Cam Pring did the same at the opposite end before the final whistle, as neither team could find a breakthrough.
